The New Crossrail

The 'Elizabeth Line' is Transport for London's state-of-the-art Crossrail line currently under construction, that will provide direct links from Reading in the west, through the centre of London, Docklands and beyond to Shenfield in the east, with no train changes required.

Due to be completed in December 2019, there will be 10 brand new stations along the line, with huge improvements to many existing stations and the surrounding areas. Trains will be 200m long, all platforms will be step-free for full disability access, connectivity will improve across the region and journey times will be dramatically reduced.

Maidenhead is just 30 miles west of London, and the new line will make commuting even easier.
